From our humble workshop surrounded by the hills of the Highlands to the glitz and wonderment of London`s very own Saatchi Gallery.

Here`s our story of how we were privileged enough to exhibit our work.

Rusling Furniture are members of the Rolls Royce-The Guild of Mastercraftsmen. After we were invited to become a member of this highly acclaimed affiliation, we then received a phone call from The Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club. This invited us to the launch of their book, `Strive For Perfection-A Celebration of Design & Luxury`. This launch was going to be hosted in The Saatchi Gallery. Rusling Furniture Makers were invited to be part of this celebration. This included exhibiting our work and a two page spread in this beautiful book.

With 800 members of the The Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club and special guests such as Quentin Wilson and Vicky Butler-Henderson, it was truly was a night to remember. The atmosphere was electric which was brought on by the building, the art, Ladies and Gentlemen of high calibre dressed in all their finery – not to mention the delicious food and wine!

Here is some information about our exhibit which we showcased at the show…The piece was constructed from black American figured walnut. One side has figured maple with African wedge inlay. The other side is tiger cherry contrasted with black American walnut and soft close drawers. The reaction from guests was very complimentary, including Quentin Wilson`s, which we were delighted about.

During the event we experience moments of surrealism, not because of the art work but by thinking of our roots and how the company has started from humble beginnings in a small Highland village- to this magnificent event!

However, we have our feet firmly on the ground as we love our work and providing a service for our clients. London was incredible, but we are glad to be home!
